About Me

My name is Kier, short for Kierstin. I have completely devoted myself to fitness and nutrition!

I was born and raised on Long Island, NY. I currently reside in St Augustine, FL. I’m one of those people who is always up for a challenge and puts 110% into anything I do. I am a gym rat! I can make myself feel at home in any gym. I’m a self-taught, trial and error cook! I love “experimenting” in the kitchen and making healthy creations. When I’m not in the gym or cooking, I’m constantly researching nutrition and the effect of food and supplements on the human body.

Where did my health and fitness journey start? Throughout my life I played travel league soccer, softball, ran for the track team, -hell, I even had a personal trainer! I considered myself an athlete but I didn’t feel that I looked the part. When I graduated from college I found myself nearly 25lbs ‘overweight’, tired, and unhappy with my body.  My primary doctor told me “Well, your weight is above average for your height but you are overall extremely healthy.” Nor did anybody ever say  “Kier, I think you need to lose weight.” …What I’m trying to say is that I didn’t have an epiphany or a life-threatening disease hanging over my head. I simply took my own initiative to become a better version of myself.

And that I did! Through a long period trial and error, I found a lot of things that DID NOT work for my body and a lot of little things that did work for my body. Those little things gave me noticeable changes and although progress was slow at first, it was still progress.

My initial focus was primarily fitness. I tried everything from P90x, insanity, weight lifting, HIIT, Bikram yoga, functional training, circuit training, etc. After researching, learning, implementing and seeing results from these exercise strategies, I finally decided to further expand my knowledge and educate others by becoming a certified personal trainer.IMG_3530

It wasn’t long before members of my local gym started to notice my results and ask ME for advice. It was also around this time that a local bodybuilding competitor saw my potential and quickly referred to a bodybuilding competition coach. I hired him and the rest is history! It took 13 weeks to get my body where it needed to be. I won the Overall Bikini title at my first two NPC shows and became nationally qualified in my very first year of competing!

Pushing my body to these extremities is challenging but remarkably phenomenal. I have become so in tune with my body by the things I eat and how they effect me. Some times I feel like one huge science experiment! Just like I fell in love with learning about fitness and exercise, I was so intrigued by my nutrition experiences that it led me to further expand my knowledge, once again, by becoming a sports nutrition coach.

Since then I have devoted my life to health and wellness through fitness and nutrition. I am personal training at a large gym, providing nutritional guidance to qualified clients, creating easy healthy recipes, sharing fitness tips, and competing in natural physique competitions. I eat, sleep, and breath fitness and nutrition!

My philosophy is quite simple; Eat REAL, natural, whole foods that you can trace back to the source. If you can’t pronounce a food ingredient listed on the package, it’s probably not natural! -so don’t eat it! I believe the best way to practice this is to eliminate all foods and items that consists of more than 1 ingredient. Walk away from the pre- packaged items and find it at its truest state. Go back to the basics,  and learn how to cook these foods to individual liking.  Learn what makes your body perform optimally by finding which foods make you feel great, and not so great. Food is fuel; some of us use regular, some of us can only use premium unleaded, some of us can’t tell the difference! [But if you want make your Toyota run like an Acura, you should try giving it some of the good stuff 😉 ]

My mission is to facilitate meaningful change in health and well-being by providing superior coaching, education and organizing services in the most simple and basic terms. I believe in taking a holistic approach to coaching; I adjust plans to your individual lifestyle and preferences. What works for one person may not work for another. Likewise, what works at one point in our lives may not work at another. Our bodies are constantly changing …That’s just the beauty of it all!
