Apple Cider Vinegar

Apple Cider Vinegar reaps in health benefits. I’ve always heard to mix it with honey and water when you’re sick but this potent substance is more than just a congestion remedy.

First off, you want apple cider vinegar “with mother.” You’ll know it was the “mother” when you can see that grim stuff that settles at the bottom of the bottle.

My coach has suggested to take 1 TBSP of ACV just before bed but you could take it virtually at any time. There are thousands of reasons why one should take ACV but for me, as a physique competitor, I take it because it aids in weight loss,  naturally increases metabolism, assists with protein breakdown and growth hormone production, improves digestion, eliminates toxins, keeps insulin levels low, contains potassium which levels out sodium levels, enhances immune system and helps to prevent and decrease acne and skin blemishes.

The benefits are endless so why wouldn’t you take it every day? Well, just open that cap and take a whiff. If you can handle the sour slap in the face you get then maybe you’re brave enough to try it. It isn’t so bad when you put a drop in your tea with honey and sugar to soothe that sore throat. But what do you do when you are required to take a full tablespoon when honey/sugar is not an option? I’ll tell you the only way to do it is to take a shot of the stuff. Pour it in a shot glass and put it down…. THEN CHASE IT WITH LOTS AND LOTS OF WATER.

I’ve been taking AVC shots for 14 nights now. I have 72 more nights to go. I never liked taking shots of anything but I swear, by the time I’m done I’m going to be able to take multiple shots of any alcohol without hesitation…. Not that I want to drink excessively but if I did I’d be a champ.
